Ok so I couldn't help myself with the Mean Girls reference for the title of this blog. I mean, it was October 3rd last week so its fine, right? Lol. Anyway...ever since I bleached my hair and am now a frosty ice blonde legend I have been "dyeing" (haha, get it?) to make my hair different pastel colors. I first tried a rose quartz color that my hair lady did for me and it turned out super cute! However, just like any pastel color, it literally washed out the next time I showered and I couldn't get that beautiful hair color back. I also tried to dye my hair lavender (a few times) which is so hard because sometimes it would turn out more gray than the lilac color I had in mind. Or some pieces that were a tad bit more yellowish to begin with wouldn't pick up the dye and I was left with 3 different colors on my hair. Blah.Years of trying to get the perfect shade of pastel I finally found a product that works! I found a video on youtube that showed a girl using a shampoo/conditioner that gave her such a gorgeous light-pink toned hair and I was obsessed. It was called "Make Me Pastel Pink" by Brite. I figured I would give it a try! The bottles are a bit on the expensive side. You get about 10.14 oz per bottle for $16.00/each at Ulta. My hair is super short so I figured for the price and size it would last me a long time. Seriously I can use the same bottle of regular shampoo and conditioner for a year! Pixie cut for the win. But on the BRITE-side (haha, see what I did there again? Ugh I hate myself lol) if you're worried about the price being too much I just checked the website on Ulta.com and right now they are on sale for $12.80. I plan on getting the pastel purple shampoo/conditioner since the pink one worked so good! See below how I get my pastel pink locks!

First I get my hair wet in the shower and apply this evenly throughout my hair. The bottle says leave it on for 2-3 minutes but I like to be extra and make sure it dyes my hair so I leave it on for 5 minutes. The shampoo isn't super soapy and doesn't lather on very well (like most shampoos) so I use a little bit more just to get an even wash all over.Click the link below to purchase the shampoo online~https://www.ulta.com/make-me-pastel-pink-shampoo?productId=xlsImpprod16491001

After I rinse out the shampoo my hair feels super dry. That is when I love using the conditioner right after because it makes my hair so soft! For real, I have never had a coloring conditioner that smells this good and makes my hair feel this soft! I love it! I leave this on for 6-7 minutes although the bottle says 5 minutes. Again, I like to be extra and make sure I am a glowy-pink goddess when I step out of the shower. Is that just me or....? This is after ONE wash! AHHHH I am obsessed! What I love most about this product is how light it comes out on your hair and if you continue using it every time you shower the pink only gets darker and darker but never too dark. It still stays pastel which is amazing. I also like how temporary it is- sometimes I just want pink hair for an event, photoshoot, or just the week. I can use the Brite shampoo and conditioner in the shower and when I decide I am done with the pink I wash my hair using regular shampoo and the color will come off. I highly recommend this product for any of you blondies who are looking to add a little more fun to their hair. Because you know what they say....BLONDES HAVE MORE FUN ;) Simply,
Jamie Lyn
